“Being busy does not always mean real work. The object of all work is production or accomplishment and to either of these ends there must be forethought, system, planning, intelligence, and honest purpose, as well as perspiration. Seeming to do is not doing.” - Edison
This blog was created to provide a British perspective of industry issues, specifically those related to Production, Design and local/global video game business. The blog was formerly titled 'scratchinghead'. On reflection, 'scratchinghead' was obscure and carried little relevance to the content.
Why the name change?
The name 'GreatBritishProducer' is descriptive, reflecting my career position and the posting perspective, past and future.
Speaking English does not suggest I am an American. I am British, which means my views do not reflect those of a culture that continues to become pervasive in language, social policy, economic policy, market policy, popular culture and national identity. Do not mistake this for as a popularist slate on American people; the point is one of distinction; I am confidently British and this blog reflects this attitude. No man is an island entire of itself.
